I have been here three times now so time for a review! Each visit was during or around happy hour on the bar side so it was difficult to judge atmosphere for the whole restaurant. But I did find the space a bit loud, or perhaps the clientele were just extra boisterous on those days. The service was what one would expect from a mid to upper level establishment; very friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The food? I tried only appetizers but wow, was that ginger beef good! The tuna twists and Mongolian beef were pleasant but I was stuck on the ginger so will be back for more. Overall a good experience. For my preferences with respect to noise levels I may have to choose better with time of arrival . But I will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Thank you for the delightful lunch. The tuna in my noodle bowl was prepared perfectly and was nice and fresh. The sliders were yummy and cooked very nicely as well. Loved the ambiance and our service was perfect Great quality of food I would recommend a bit larger portion size. Thank you
OLIVIA is so amazing! My cousin was visiting from Vancouver and I brought her to XIX for her first time. Olivia made the best recommendations for both cocktails and food. She definitely nailed it! She was so outgoing, friendly, and made our experience very enjoyable! Thank you for an awesome night!
XIX dinner made our anniversary more special. The atmosphere is lively, our server Scott is very attentive, accommodating, and nice. For starters, we had the Aburi-style salmon sushi and we liked the smokiness of it. We also had Ahi Tuna Twists and I loved the presentation and how balanced the portion of tuna and noodles in each twist. The texture of the fish is really nice and how the noodles were cooked. We also had an Ahi Tuna Salad which is also good. I liked the toasted rice in it which adds a lot of flavour and texture to it. At this point, we finished our sushi and twists and we are already getting full For our mains, we had the lobster risotto which we really loved! I recommend it. It’s so rich and there are chunks of lobster in there as well as scallops. We also got the Hoisin-glazed beef short ribs which is unbelievable. The beef is very soft and melts in your mouth. The sauce complements well with the beef but I think the beef itself is really really good. Onion rings on top of the beef are super crunchy, too. Not to mention the portions of these food. They have good serving and although they’re on the pricey side, each order is good for sharing especially the mains. And personally, flavour-wise and portion-wise, it’s worth for its price. We also had cocktails with our meal. I think that the cocktails we had tastes alcohol-y but personally I liked my cocktails when it doesn’t taste much alcohol Overall, I’d recommend Nineteen. The ambiance, the people, the food… it was a good experience. Will recommend and will be back again.
The atmosphere was very relaxing our server was great and being able to watch the chefs prepare the food was a nice touch. We had 4 apps which were all amazing, the gyoza were my favorite. And the main course was to die for
This was my first time visiting Nineteen! Went here for a girls dinner and had such a great time. The space was perfect for good food and conversation. We ordered the Hamachi Crudo, Ahi Tuna Twist (so delicious, just wish it came with a bit more), Coconut Atlantic Salmon, and Bang Bang Prawns. Everything was full of flavour. The Yuzu Yuki cocktail was light, citrusy, and such a nice touch to the meal. Great spot for a fun evening out with friends!
